JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma returned to New Delhi on Saturday morning after a successful six-day visit to Japan and South Korea. The trip was part of the preparations for the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024,’ scheduled to be held in Jaipur from December 9 to 11.
Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari said, “Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma ji has visited Japan and South Korea, which has been very successful, and he is returning to Jaipur today.”
She underlined that the visit would attract investment to Rajasthan through the Rising Rajasthan Investor Meet.”A lot of investment will come to Rajasthan from Rising Rajasthan, which is important for the development of Rajasthan and will also increase employment opportunities,” Kumari said.
Kumari also highlighted the potential for tourism-related investments. “There is a lot of possibility of investment in Rajasthan from the tourism point of view, and if investment comes, then Rajasthan’s economy will be strengthened. We are all busy preparing for it,” the Deputy Chief minister said.
She assured that the government would not only sign Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) but also implement them effectively. “Through Rising Rajasthan, not only will there be MOUs of investment, but our government will also implement them on the ground,” she said.
Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa, who accompanied the Chief Minister, also described the visit as successful. “It was a good visit. The investors out there have a positive outlook towards us, and the CM has also promised them to provide all possible support in a positive way,” Bairwa said.
Rajasthan Minister Jawahar Singh said, “This visit of the CM regarding the Rajasthan summit to invite companies from different nations who want to invest in the state will bear positive results–generate employment, and I hope that foreign companies will enter into MOUs with the state and help in the development of Rajasthan.”
He also praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, saying it has built global trust in India.
During the visit, the delegation discussed new investment opportunities with several South Korean firms, including Samsung Healthcare and LX International.
The upcoming Rising Rajasthan summit aims to attract global investment and encourage partnerships, with support from the Industry and Commerce Department, Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP), and RIICO.
