Former President Donald Trump casually dismissed Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, saying he actually prefers Brittany Mahomes.
During an early morning TV interview with “Fox & Friends” following his first presidential debate against Kamala Harris, Trump, 78, gushed over the former American soccer player and wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, when asked about Swift’s formal endorsement for his Democratic rival.
“Well I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better. If you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” Trump said when asked about Swift’s endorsement for Harris.

“It was only a matter of time. You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden. But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace. But I Like Britanny. Britanny is great. She’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift. Wife of the great quarterback. I think she’s terrific,” said Trump.

Brittany Mahomes found herself at the centre of a social media controversy and faced backlash after liking an Instagram post made by Donald Trump that outlined his 2024 campaign platform. The August 13 Instagram post included Trump’s positions on deporting ‘pro-Hamas radicals’ and keeping ‘men out of women’s sports.’ Later Mahomes clapped back at trollers with a cryptic post who took her like as an endorsement of Trump’s controversial stances.
Brittany Mahomes is married to Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, who is close friends with teammate Travis Kelce, Swift’s boyfriend. Despite Swift and Brittany being seen hugging and being friendly at the US Open earlier this month, which stirred controversy on social media since Brittany is a Trump supporter.
The music icon formally endorsed Harris for president within a half hour of the debate’s conclusion. Swift also called out Trump for previously using a fake image of her to make it appear that she was endorsing him instead.
