In a series of harrowing revelations, two British women shared their experiences of alleged rape and sexual violence at the hands of controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate. These testimonies emerged amid ongoing legal troubles for Tate and his brother, Tristan, who faced serious charges in Romania.
Andrew Tate, who was under house arrest in Romania, faced charges of human trafficking, forming an organized group to sexually exploit women, and rape.Prosecutors were also considering new allegations against him, including having sex with a minor and trafficking underage persons. Both brothers were being investigated for trafficking an additional 34 women.
Shocking allegations surface
The BBC reported that two women, not involved in the Romanian case against the Tate brothers, came forward with detailed accounts of abuse dating back over a decade, to when Andrew Tate was living in Luton.
Anna (not her real name) recounted a disturbing encounter with Andrew Tate from 2013. She described how, after a few dates, Tate invited her to his home in Luton. “He started kissing me… and he just looked up at the ceiling and said, ‘I’m just debating whether I should rape you or not. Out of the blue he just grabbed me by the throat, smashed me to the back of the bed, strangling me extremely hard,” Anna said.
According to the BBC, Anna claimed Tate then raped her and followed up with disturbing messages about the assault. “Am I a bad person? Because the more you didn’t like it, the more I enjoyed it,” he allegedly said in a voice note. In a text, he wrote: “I love raping you.”
In 2014, Anna reported the attack to Bedfordshire Police, but a file sent to the Crown Prosecution Service in 2019 resulted in no charges due to insufficient evidence.
Another woman, referred to as Sienna, also described a traumatic encounter with Tate. Sienna said that during a 2013 encounter, Tate put his hands around her throat while they were having sex. “I was absolutely terrified,” she recalled. “I just remember gasping for air… It was rape.” Sienna had a visible eye injury the next day, which her friend corroborated.

New allegations against Tristan Tate
In a new development, a woman accused Tristan Tate of rape. Daisy (not her real name) said that in 2017, after dating Tristan, she was coerced into working for the Tate brothers’ webcam business in Bucharest.
She described a controlling environment and alleged that Tristan sexually assaulted her despite repeated refusals. Daisy did not report the incident to the police, but a friend confirmed her distress upon returning to the UK.
Legal and public fallout
The Tate brothers’ legal issues expanded beyond Romania. They faced extradition proceedings in the UK related to rape and human trafficking allegations from 2012-2015. Additionally, Devon and Cornwall Police pursued a civil case for millions in unpaid taxes from their online businesses.
Sienna and Anna sued Andrew Tate in the High Court in London, accusing him of rape and sexual assault. Tate, who consistently denied all allegations, declined to comment on the latest claims. Last year, he told the BBC, “I look forward to the truth coming out. I look forward to the truth being blasted all over the BBC that Andrew Tate was found not guilty because I’ve never done anything wrong.”
