Nate Silver, known for his accurate election prediction, updated his forecast and said the Democrats have more than doubled their chance of winning overnight. In an interview with the New York Times, Nate explained his updated forecast and said that it is really going well for Kamala Harris — she is winning the election at around 52 per cent.
Nate explained that Hillary Clinton was a “terrible” candidate but won the popular vote by two points.”Is she (Kamala) a bit better than Hillary Clinton? Probably, right? So she can win by three of four? Well, if you win by three or four, then you win the Electoral College in most instances,” Nate said.

‘Kamala was well organized’
Counting the factors that worked well for Kamala Harris, Nate credited Kamala for being well-organized picking up fast from where Biden left. Nate said Kamala Harris was amazingly well organized at getting the entire establishment behind her within minutes of Biden announcing he was going to step down. Probably, Kamala had more support in the party than she let on, Nate explained.
‘Kamala Harris is fun’
Nate weighed on another factor that Republicans denigrate Kamala Harris saying that she laughs a lot. But probably that’s what the politics needs in a break from iits no-fun tone. “I think people in politics neglect just how annoying the pedantic, dramatic, no-fun tone of politics was. And if the worst Republicans can say about Kamala Harris is, oh, she laughs a lot — maybe it suits the mood after so many years of doom and gloom, so maybe it was just spontaneous and lucky,” Nate said.
