Donald Trump in his press conference yesterday said he knows Kamala Harris‘ ex-boyfriend Willie Brown and that they had an emergency experience during a helicopter ride and that Brown told terrible things about Kamala Harris. Now Willie Brown, the former San Francisco mayor, completely denied everything calling whatever Trump said his figment of imagination.
The story that Donald Trump narrated was “what Donald does best”, Brown told news station KRNO4. “Hie creativity– fictional”. Brown said he never had any business with Donald Trump, did never share any helicopter ride.
On telling terrible things about Kamala Harris to Donald Trump, the 90-year-old politician, being credited as Kamala Harris’ mentor, said he could not envision thinking of Kamala Harris in any negative way. Kamala was a good friend, Brown said.
“You would have known if I had gone down on a helicopter with Trump,” he said, according to the newspaper. “I’ve never been on a helicopter with Trump.”
Did Trump confuse Jerry Brown with Willie Brown?
Reports claimed that there’s a possibility that Donald Trump confused Jerry Brown with whom he was indeed on a helicopter. In 2018, Trump was in a helicopter with Jerry and his successor Gavin Newsom as they toured Paradise, California, then ravaged by wildfires. A spokesperson for Newsom confirmed to NBC that he was on a helicopter with Jerry Brown and Trump but there was no emergency.
What Trump said
Trump was asked about Kamala Harris’ past relationship with Willie Brown and whether Trump ever funded Harris. Trump said he knows Willie Brown very well. “In fact, I went down in a helicopter with him. We thought maybe this is the end. We were in a helicopter going to a certain location together, and there was an emergency landing. This was not a pleasant landing, and Willie was, he was a little concerned,” Trump said. “So I know him. I know him pretty well.”
Trump claimed Willie Brown told him terrible things about Kamala Harris.
