A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Mindanao, Philippines, on Saturday at 9.50 am, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at location with coordinates 8.24 degrees North latitude and 126.74 degrees East longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.
According to NCS, no casualties have been reported yet.
Sharing a post on X, NCS said: “EQ of M: 6.1, On: 03/08/2024 09:50:26 IST, Lat: 8.24 N, Long: 126.74 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Mindanao, Philippines.”
The NCS reported that huge tremors were also felt at 3.52 am in the early morning hours, prior to the recent seismic activity, with its epicenter located in Mindanao, Philippines, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
In separate X post NCS mentioned: “EQ of M: 6.7, On: 03/08/2024 03:52:59 IST, Lat: 8.45 N, Long: 126.91 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Mindanao, Philippines.”
