Donald Trump at a Friday event hosted by the conservative Christian organization Turning Point Action urged the Christians to vote — and then he said they would not have to do it again because ‘We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote’. “You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians” Trump said.
“I love you Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote,” Trump said.
It was not clear what he meant when he told the Christians that they would not have to vote after four years. Reuters reached out to the Trump campaign which did not offer any clarification of his comments.
‘Dictator’ trending on X
Democrats have called Trump a threat to the democracy and the remark intrigued social media users who got alarmed by Trump’s statement and ‘dictator’ started trending on X.

“Good morning and Happy Saturday to everyone who is ALARMED to hear the guy who said he’ll be a dictator on Day One tell his supporters “You won’t have to vote anymore…In four years you don’t have to vote again.” Our democracy is at stake, folks,” a post read.

“What is wrong with everyone who is pretending this maniac doesn’t want to be dictator?” another commented.
“Holy shit! Trump just laid out his plans to be a dictator. Where the hell is the media?? ‘You have to get out and vote. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four years, it will be fixed, it will be fine…In four years, you won’t have to vote again.'” a user wrote.
In an interview with Fox News in December, Trump said that if he won the Nov. 5 election he would be a dictator, but only on “day one”, to close the southern border with Mexico and expand oil drilling. After it created a controversy, Trump said it was a joke.
