MUMBAI: CM Eknath Shinde Saturday warned his detractors not to take him lightly. Throwing down the gauntlet at opposition, he said he is willing to give an account of what Mahayuti has done in 2.5 years, and MVA should do the same. “Doodh ka doodh aur paani ka paani hou dya (let the milk be separated from the water),” he told Shiv Sainiks at a Dussehra rally.
Shinde said there was no difference between Sena (UBT) and MIM.”In a direct contest on 13 seats in Lok Sabha, they won six and we won seven. We all know who voted for them.” Shinde also said the Haryana victory would be replicated in Maharashtra.
He accused MVA of corruption and stalling infrastructure projects. He justified the splitting of Sena, saying the late Balasaheb Thackeray always said not to put up with injustice but to fight. “Had we not rebelled, the Shiv Sainik would have trampled on us.”
Shinde said he kept his word, ensuring 10% reservation to Marathas without touching the OBC quota.
Without naming the Muslim community, he said they voted while our community (Hindus) went on a picnic. “This time, all must vote.”
