NEW DELHI: Former railways minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy‘s health condition is “critical”, an official of the hospital said.
“Roy’s health condition is critical but stable. Our doctors are monitoring him round the clock,” the official told news agency PTI.
Roy was hospitalised three days ago for a head injury after he fell at his residence.
Roy, who got injured in the fall, is still in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital, the official said.
Roy is one of the founding members of the Trinamool Congress.
Once known as a TMC strongman and a close associate of party chief Mamata Banerjee, former Union minister Mukul Roy had joined the BJP in 2017 and had won from Krishnanagar Uttar constituency in the 2021 assembly polls.
He, however, returned to the TMC afterwards.
