As the video went viral, ‘cat lady’ started trending on X with social media users calling George Washington the original cat lady president as he had no children of his own but was a stepparent of his wife’s children from her first marriage. Kamala Harris too has no children but she is the mother to Cole and Ella — her husband’s children from his first marriage.
Childless cat lady is generally used as a derogatory term to refer to an older woman who lives alone and has a large number of cats. Social media users slammed Vance accusing him of hurting all Americans who are not parents and who have cats. Not every childless, cat parent is living in misery and they do have as much a stake in the country as anyone else, users commented.
Kamala Harris is not childless as she is the step mother of two who call her ‘Momala’, users pointed out.
